Titanfall: Frontline had less than favourable results in its beta, and was canned only a few months after its announcement.From what I understand, Assault still carries a similar use of deck-building mechanics in that you've got to collect and choose your best Titan, Pilot, and Burn Cards to secure your victory. Following its initial launch back in 2018, Lemmings: The Puzzle Adventure has hit a major in-game milestone. 25 billion of the titular creatures have now been saved since the game first released for iOS and Android. To coincide with this, the developers have released a sizeable update for the puzzler that adds new levels to beat and characters to collect. First up, there is now an ice cream-themed planet for players to explore with a massive 250 new levels to make their way through. Additionally, there will be eight new tribes to collect as part of Season 23 and 32 Lemming characters as part of Season 24.There is also a new game mode to dive into as well called Reward Rocket. The developers hope this will keep players returning to Lemmings: The Puzzle Adventure since it introduces daily challenges with various prizes up for grabs as a reward for completing them.Lemmings review - "Does this puzzler recapture the glory days?"If you're unfamiliar with Lemmings: The Puzzle Adventure, it's a puzzle game take on the classic 90s platformer. These additions will bring 7 fonts to the music player, allowing people to create their own rock songs.Virtual Reality dominated much of gamescom 2016, but few VR games have really sold me on the platform's ability to really immerse me in another world.Serious Sam VR: The Last Hope, however, planted me perfectly in the shoes of Sam himself (I assume - you never see or hear him), shooting up some alien fools like there's no tomorrow.The demo played out as a classic Horde Mode type affair - increasingly difficult waves of enemies rush towards you, and it's your job to, well, stay alive.You get a choice of weapons - each of which you can hold in one hand, so you can duel wield like the coolest army dude ever - then blast evil angels out of the sky, Jabba's rancor off the ground, and giant enemy crabs from the dust.The fact the game doesn't let you or your character move far - you're never in a moving vehicle, for example - means you have time to think and look around, accentuating the immersion.
