That's right, Carcassonne is coming.If you're unfamiliar with the game, it's all about laying down tiles to build roads and cities. You're playing against other people who are trying to do the same. Whoever creates the most impressive stretches of roads, buildings, and monasteries by the time the tiles have run out, wins.It's a simple idea, but there's so much strategy here that it's easy to get sucked in. You can block other players, build out on your own, or try and steal their work from them at the last second. It's smart, it's engaging, and it's perfect for the whole family.Which is why we think it's going to be absolutely perfect on the Switch. This is the sort of game that Nintendo might make itself, if it had an interest in ancient French castles and tiles. It's accessible, anyone can grasp the basics of it, but it grows and grows the more time you put into it.The game is set to come out later in the year, and according to a press release it's going to be the first of many Asmodee titles making their way to Switch. After an incredible seven years in the shop finally Silent Depth is out on iOS.For those navy/war buffs who love simulation games, Silent Depth may well be right up your alley. As a member of the Silent Service in the US navy your job is to take control of the Gate/Balao-class submarine and blow up any intruding Japanese merchant ships without getting caught.Of course it's much more complex and detailed than that. Using torpedoes or your deck gun, it's a challenge to come out on top in this fight. You have to battle with real day/night cycles, changing weather, and an enormous underwater world to explore and defend.In Silent Depth you've got ten different types of enemy vessels to encounter, three difficulty settings, different fleets, and a ton of other exciting features to play around with.Grab the game on the App Store now for £5.99/$7.99."Are you going to marry Marshall Elliott?" exclaimed Anne, recovering her power of speech under this second shock.Konami is on the ball in bringing the newly announced Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Generation to iPad and Android tablets this autumn.There's no doubt that it's going to be boxing in the same ring as Pokémon Trading Card Game Online, which was released a little over a month ago.Sure, there have been Yu-Gi-Oh! games on mobile and tablets before. But the selling point that's being pushed with Duel Generation is that it's the "most complete" of them all.That said, it doesn't seem all that different from last year's Yu-Gi-Oh! BAM Pocket.So, yes, it's a free to play card battler. And, yes, it has online battles against other human players as well as battles against the series' characters.Duel Generation has over 6,000 cards, with more to be added in future updates. It will have Weekly Challenges for you to take on, too.It's also a game built for newbies as much as it is card battling veterans. As such, it has a tutorial, and a lengthy campaign with easier opponents to teach you the basics.It's a big game, in other words, and one that - obviously - Konami want you to invest all your time into.Whether Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Generation will be able to compete in the same space as Pokémon Trading Card Game is yet to be seen. But, for the avid fans of the series, it might be a better fit.Unfortunately, a release date for Duel Generation hasn't been announced.
