3、
TerraGenesis, the popular terraforming simulator from Tilting Point, has received some big changes today with Lava Worlds update. This introduces a new governor character, playable faction and a limited time Lava Event to celebrate the arrival of the update.

We'll start with the Lava Event since it'll only be around for a limited amount of time. This global event will see players using the new Lava Worlds feature to complete a variety of tasks to lower the temperature of their planet. They will have 48 hours to complete all of the steps to save their planet from destruction.

You may know Devine Lu Linvega from Hiversaires, a mysterious point and click adventure that was just gorgeously stylistic. It was based around a textless world where you had to learn its language made of signs.

A theme continued in the equally puzzling Oquonie.

You know then that Devine Lu Linvega is not someone who'll make simple games. Its next project is Verreciel, defined as "a space exploration project".

In layman's terms, this means that this is a game set in a spaceship but not it's not your typical space opera.

You're inside a Glass Ship, which is represented by the panels around you. Each panel as a function in the ship and you'll need them all. You can even connect different panels together to use your ship to the fullest.

For example, the cargo panel can be connected to the console to log and see what's coming and going out of your ship. The radar panel can be connected to the pilot panel to give it directions to the next start.

And you'll explore a lot of them! In Verreciel you go from space port to space port trading and upgrading your ship with new panels. You'll be able to warp to other systems, visit suns and more.

Check out ten minutes of gameplay from the game below:

-
In 2013, Philipp Stollenmayer gave us Cyro, a game about spinning through a gauntlet.

Last year he turned in another tough challenge that had us reflecting on life and death in Sometimes You Die.

Now, in 2015, Stollenmayer seems to be aiming to be the champion of bite-sized arcade flippers. At least, that's how it appears so far.

You may remember that for Pancake Day he made Pancake - The Game. You flipped a pancake with a saucepan as many times as possible without it falling to the floor. That's all there was to it.

His latest game is a riff on that same idea. It's called Get Hi, and Stollenmayer has deemed it a "one-button-dubstep-climber."

You touch the screen to flip a vertical stack of paddles, upon which a ball rests. As the title instructs, your aim is to get as high as possible by flipping the ball up and up. And you do this to the warbling, crunchy bass of dubstep.

-
Benjamin Rivers' side-scrolling horror game Home follows a dark murder mystery in an eerie house, and it's currently on sale for the first time since 2014, available for £0.79 / $0.99.

In our Silver Award review, we praised the game's chilling intelligent narrative following an amnesiac protagonist as he encounters disturbing sights and unnerving secrets in the titular abode during a storm.

You can find Home on the App Store.

It's rare for Apple to announce anything before its big event for developers, WWDC, but in an interview with The Verge and then on Apple's developers' website, Apple has detailed some upcoming changes that are coming to the App Store.

First up, the apps that you have bought won't be appearing in the "featured" section of the App Store. This is a welcome change that was already in place on tvOS and that should expand soon to iOS.

Apple is also adding a new way for developers to charge for content: subscription in apps. While you could already do this for some categories of apps, developers will now be able to turn them on in any categories. This mean that we could see MMO-style subscriptions on iOS sooner rather than later.

This is especially important for developers since, if a subscriber continues to pay for more than a year, it'll split the revenue 85/15 for the developer against the normal 70/30 that's currently applied everywhere.

Between now and this fall, Apple will also start rolling out ads in your search results. We don't know how they'll appear or how obnoxious they'll be but I'm not too fond of that change even if it's not going to be that much of an issue.

These are rather big changes in Apple's App Store and I'm sure we'll hear about that and more next week at WWDC. Stay tuned.
